The smaller layout is going to be based on four tables that are 8 feet long and 2 feet wide, in a pinwheel design, much like the Heart of Georgia (HOG) layout.  It will be operated from inside and outside.

Here is roughly how the tables will be made....courtesy of Model Railroader Magazine.

(Blowing the dust off the computer).....tap tap...testing one two three...testing...anyone out there?  Wow its been a long time!  So much has changed.  I'm posting today to let you know that I have finally moved back South, built a new house, and I have a big basement.  It's time to build a major layout.

After some deliberation, I'm going to build a new On30 Hebard Cypress Company in the Okefenokee Swamp!  Because I'm still finishing the basement we are going to do it in two stages.  First will be a pit operated portable layout.  Then as we get the room ready these sections which will be highly detailed will be mounted on the walls for a large layout.

If you aren't familiar with the first Hebard Cypress Company, have a look!  For some reason the original track plan isn't on the old site anymore, so I'll dig it up and repost.
